However, he receives an invitation from the Wimbledon tournament and it turns his life upside down. The 2017 Toronto Film Festival premiered the biographical story “Borg/Mackinroy,” which tells the story of the famous match in the 1980 Wimbledon final between John McEnroe and Bjorn Borg. The film is often described as a psychological thriller, with Shania Labaf and Sverrir Gudnason in the lead roles that draw applause.

A few months ago, “King Richard,” a film about Richard Williams, father of tennis legends Serena and Venus Williams, was released. The film tells how much he spent to bring up the champions, how he calculated the development of their careers in their youth, the sacrifices and compromises he had to make, but his total faith in his daughters’ talent helped him come this way.
